As per my previous posts a couple of months ago
http://pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=673495

It would seem my ex has not had enough with harrassing me at my home and at work - I went to my car this morning
and found scratches on the bonnet, both front wings, 1 rear quarter panel and both doors on my car mad

Through no fault of my own I've had to make a claim and won't be able to claim for any damages (unless the Police can get witnesses),
£200 excess is not the end of the world but a bit of a pi$$er having to claim - thankfully protected 8 years NCB won't be affected but
I'd expect the renewal would be affected a little.

The first thing the paint shop guy at Audi said was you ain't the first to have malicious damage done by an ex and won't be the last.

6 months on after the end of the relationship, why do people get so bitter..

CCTV? If you'd rigged it up after the egg attack you'd have some footage at least now.

I'm sorry I actually don't know what to say - 6 months later!

It's certainly not commonplace even amongst the most psychotic women I know.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing and all - should have installed a CCTV camera...

Thankfully I've a couple of neighbours who's seen someone by her description last night so here's hoping police
can nail her with that. If not I'll do it with a nail gun.

Just re-read Pt 2 and remember thinking how you needed CCTV then...

Now, you HAVE to get it. Friend had neighbours doing things to his car n house, CCTV in, all sorted.

Its not expensive, it doesnt even have to all be real but get something in ASAP.

What I'll do in the interim is to park the Audi at my folks garage who lives 10 mins away and buy a shed to drive and see if Police
can prosecute her. Will be looking at CCTV asap too. And a 12 guage shotgun as backup obviously.

Police if you're reading this clearly I'm joking.

Well Audi is saying it's in the region of at least £1.5k for the paintwork at a guess at this point until they've quoted
it properly tomorrow - the car is 18 months old so I've paid the insurance may aswell use it. My current premium is £350 so if they
load it £50-£100, that ain't too bad as my NCB is protected.

Insurance insisted on their paint shop but I want it done properly at Audi to preserve the paint warranty.

I've had 2 company cars scratched badly by an ex husband of a woman I had a very casual fling with. He stalked me three years ago for about 3 months and it was awful. I'm not a small guy but he was HUGE; built like a rugby player and nasty with it.

He:

Slashed my flatmate's Pirelli P-Zeros on the offside which cost me £330 to replace
Keyed both sides of my company car
keyed one side of my new company car
Almost throttled me in a nightclub

I had to get the Police involved and thankfully have had no bother since. Although they were useless and very frustrating to deal with it seemed to do the trick.

And all this when he was living with the woman he was having an affair with.

Some people are just scum and clearly get off on the adrenalin rush when they are in a rage.

s the lot of them

Nutter....go for hidden cctv so if she does it again (or something similar) then you finally have her caught.

Had a quarter panel keyed at uni.....suspect it was a jealous ex of a female mate (he thought something was going on as had confronted me the night before in a club)

Further developments.

Audi came back with a £2,400 quote for the paint repair eek Not thrilled at having to pay a £200 excess for malicious damage but
as my protected NCB is unaffected, it'll be done through Audi.

During the course of the last few days, the bh has been phoning my work (while I'm off on holiday) and was looking for the address to send a 'package' to.
Stupidly gave her real name to my manager and said she will hand it in personally tomorrow - well as a result HR has escalated security as you would
have to get through 2 layers of security to get in the office anyway.

The head of HR is calling the police tomorrow and in addition, Police came over tonight and having explained all this, have no option
but to pay her a visit tonight. The Police are treating this very seriously as the ex said to my manager after she delivers the package, it would
cause trouble causing the Police to arrive at the office. WTF is wrong with some people!!!?!

Hope police nail her tonight. Or she gets arrested if she was stupid enough to go into my office tomorrow.

I can't imagine what it must be like to live through this, sounds terrible.

I do, however, look forward to an update later/ tomorrow.

Good luck.
