............ for her 100th birthday?

Better add more info: She's very much with it, but getting rather frail. All marbles present.

What does she like? Where's she living, does she still have good vision/hearing etc?

Very much depends on circumstances. If she's in a sh*thole nursing home then you'll be really limited as she's unlikely to have a chance to enjoy whatever-it-is due to the level of sedition (and sometimes sedation frown) in such places.

I was going to say a coffin, but then I felt a bit guilty for attempting a slightly distasteful joke.

So, my serious idea would be get her something that she is interested in, but from the year she was born?

Nolar's sugestion is pretty good........so good in fact that we did the Family portrait thing for my grandmothers 100th a couple of years ago. We also proveded enough drink / jelly / ice cream / cake etc for every one in the nursing home she was living in (and planted whoopeee cushions everywhere smile ) most people at that age seem to be more interested in seeing everybody have a good time than presents...........whatever you do though, dont forget a birthday card wink

Does she enjoy a drink? I've found port from 1909 priced at £130 for 4 bottles. Or some champagne for £790 (eek)

I kept looking at the title as I read "Where can you buy a lady".

I was actually thinking if I really knew the answer to that too.

So, back on topic, if I ever reached 100 (unlikely), I'd want every one of my family with me for the party. I've an interest in family trees too, so the best present would be a great big wall-sized diagram of my family tree, going back as far as known, and forwards to include everyone that comes to the party. Pictures of everyone on that family tree too please.

yes Wot she said, assuming said birthday person is physically up to it etc.

Plus the family tree idea as mentioned by a couple of other people.
