Right so ealier in the year I sold some MJ tickets.
These tickets are in the first 10 days and have not been rescheduled as of yet.

I sold these tickets via Ebay. I have just had a text message from the person who I have sold them too...that she cant make it and please send her a refund via cheque.

If the concert changed date or was cancelled I would happily refund her money. With her just changing her mind I'm inclined to say NO.

How shall I explain to she wont be getting a refund as she has simply changed her mind. Incidentally she bought these at quite a premium off me and at a price that I wont be able to sell them again at.

Let her sell them on if she no longer wants them, you are safe to rest your conscience.

No chance, item was as described.

Don't even entertain the notion that you owe her, or should give her, anything.

I would be inclined to ask her what she would do if she was in that situation and someone asked her for the premium refund amount now that they can only be sold at less than that now, just cause they had changed their mind after paying?

Second thoughts... fk that, tell her that the day the money entered your account the tickets were her property to do with as she pleases... so how can you refund something that is no longer yours???if she would like sell them at a discount from the premium amount that you sold them to her at (assuming you can still sell them), then you can discuss it.

Else tell her that she must put them on ebay her self.

It's her problem is she can't make it. I can't see why she thinks you should refund her....

Did she pay by Paypal or by cheque?

If she paid by Paypal then make sure the claim date has passed (about 40 days IIRC) and then tell her to FO.

Simply because Ebay will tell you to refund, or take the money from you, if she paid by Paypal and if she puts in a complaint before that 40 day deadline.

Why would Ebay tell a seller to refund just because the buyer changed their mind, it is not as if the item bought was not as described ?

You fulfilled your part of the contract. The rest just depends on how much of a nice bloke you want to be.

Don't do it. Not your problem.

Have the tickets now come down in price? If so, she might be trying to get her money back and then buy a cheaper set from somebody else.

So the OP bought some tickets purely to resell them at a massive profit, denying genuine fans the opportunity to attend the concert. And now he bhes because he might not make so much profit?

Whilst his buyer clearly doesn't have a leg to stand on, I can't say I feel the slightest sympathy for his predicament. If he wants to play the game he needs to understand the risks involved too.

Perhaps he bought them then couldn't go after all? Never know.

Doesn't seem any risk to me, as you say, she doesn't have a leg to stand on!

You know already that that isn't the case though, right? His tale puts his eBay sale right at the time of the concert launch.

I meant the general risks of buying concert/event tickets in the hope that demand will exceed supply and a profit can be made.

ha, do you think Paypal / Ebay honestly give a st about minor details like that? The moment a buyer complains, the sellers life becomes very difficult.

He had the same chance to get the tickets as 'genuine' had. He phoned up, got through, paid his money.

Up to him what he does with his tickets.

Likely, but could be innocent case.

I don't disagree at all. Of course it's up to him. I resent his moaning because he felt there might be a risk that his greedy profit might be eroded.
