Tomorrow my household is going to be taking delivery of an 8 week olf Scottish terrier puppy ( the little black dogs if anyone's wondering!). biggrin

We are stuck on a name for her....

We once had a female Scottish Terrier called Macintosh so it doesn't have to be a female name, but it must have Scottish roots/background.

We're looking for something with character and kind of 'stern' sounding, like the breed!

Any ideas are very welcome and I'll let you know if your suggestion is chosen!

hehe For some bizarre reason, I like that too!

OP what about something like 'Mack' stern(ish) sounding, still sounding traditional

Best one so far I think, although it can't be used - my sister had a dog called Hamish that got run over recently! frown

What about "Callard" as in "Callard & Bowser" scottish toffees

Or even "Bowser" now I think of it!

If you've had a MacKintosh, how about a Rennie?

Wallace is a really good one and was top of the pile untill we realised we'd be calling it 'Wally' all the time laugh

Bruce would be fantastic for a male but I think it's too masculine for a girl dog, which is a shame.

McRae is a good one.

I also quite like Jackie at the moment.
