Crop circles ?!

Hi All,
I'm always a bit sceptical about things like this but on MSN today they have some of the designs that have been captured.

Now I'm no expert and considering these happen overnight....is is really possible with todays GPS technology, to create these overnight or is there another explanation???

Jesus wept... Another epic failure of common sense to even ask that question... What do you think is statistically more likely?
1) Students/People with too much free time used GPS and other "tricks of the trade", to make patterns in a field to confuse stupid people. As they have done many times before.
2) Aliens travelled possibly millions of light years, arrived on Earth undetected. After arriving, despite having extremely advanced technology, they decide the best way of comminicating is by doodling on the corn field. They do this knowing full well that the most intelligent people will write it off as a practical joke and possibly vandalism. They then return to their home planet undetected.
"Critical thinking".

Until recently I lived in Woodborough, right in the heart of crop-circle country.
Aliens don't make crop circles.
Sadly though, one of the areas top circle makers died earlier this year, so there may not be so many in the Vale of Pewsey this year. He definitely wasn't an alien.
