Father in law may be getting a job out there, wondered if anyone had any experiences?

Would you take a family there etc?

All thoughts appreciated

Safe, friendly, getting into rainy-season now though. Certainly one of the best West African countries to work in. Only 6 hours from Heathrow, minimal time difference too. He'll enjoy it.

Dad was posted (Royal Navy) there for 3 years in the 1970s. It was a great experience.

yup, i go to Accra about twice a month on average. Nice place, and as said, the best place to be in Western Africa.
City is pretty massive, there are some good places to eat etc.
Havent ventured down to the beach, but i hear its not bad.

As for taking family... im not so sure.. i think i would get bored there pretty soon, there doesnt seem to be a huge amount to see/do. Something like going for a few days in the sun would be fine (although as said, rainy season is about now)

My firend went out to do volunteer work. Picked as its the safest country in that part of africa or all of africa. Which certainly isnt a bad thing!
