Jillies is alright if you like rock music. Drinks are bloody expensive though.

South is pretty good - a bit grotty mind, but damn good music.

Yeah, as said really Jilly's is decent, as is the Music Box. Further up Oxford Street the Phoenix Bar is good, under the University bridge, popular with students. On tuesdays its a quid a drink IIRC.

Depends what you want.

Panacea if you want super smart upmarket full of golddigging champagne drinking fit birds. No dance policy.

Revolution on deansgate locks is quite casual with good music and you can dance.

Accross the road there is area 51 which is a quite hardcore dance club.

Northern quarter is very laid back area with a few nice bars.

Living room is very smart, quite a strict door policy with groups of lads.

If you want wall to wall birds, go to birdcage. But again you will struggle with groups of lads, as it is all hen do's.

There is going to be partners on this too, so will have to rule out some of these, also no dance policy does not sound too good

I think revolution on deansgate locks is your place then. It's something for everyone. Nice bars upstairs and down, with a good dancefloor downstairs and a good crowd of people. Not too scally or chav. And you can always roll into area 51 afterwards if you've not had enougth by 2am. Thats open till 10am. I keep meaning to go and park up at 10am on a sunday morning just to see the sights roll out of that place.

Northern Quarter all the way! very relaxed, good ales, good food.
Try Trof or Common. The Marble Arch up Rochdale road does some cracking ales and is a lovely pub. Matt and Phreds jazz bar is a good place to end an evening. thumbup
