Who owns forum / post content?
Discussion
I had an idea (which I won't be attempting as it may be a mine field and I have neither the time nor inclination to have a go) but it raised an interesting question.
Who owns the content of a thread? Is it the individual poster, the site owner?
The idea was to produce a book of interesting posts from the interweb (the Nazi bunker would make an interesting read whilst having some alone time)...I'm guessing the book would live in the smallest room in the house!
It would be straight forward to do (with the book having been written already) but the legalities I'm guesssing would be a fairly major stumbling block.

The publisher essentially, I believe.
In this case PH.
There you go then PH. Compile all the greatest threads to have graced these hallowed pages, bundle them onto some paper, give it a snazzy title and flog it.In this case PH.
Like I said, the bunker thread would be a good place to start.

I'm still unclear on images, as they're called from another site and displayed on PH arent they?
Depends if you use the new PH image uploader (beta)Aside from which, copyright ALWAYS remains with the photographer unless explicitly stated otherwise (T&Cs of site usage etc). Hence the key phrase :
