Given the current "gay" thing that seems to be going on in the lounge, and the number of MX5 drivers here wink I thought now would be a good time to bring this up.

I'm 28 and going grey frown It started when I was 24 when my then girlfriend decided to pluck out the first white hair. Since then I've got married to her and the grey seems to be getting worse laugh She used to pluck them out one at a time every week or so but its now got to the point where she doesnt bother as there are just too many.

Tonight she suggested I used "Just for men" !!

She says she cant stand the thought of having a husband who looks like he's got Philip Scofield's hair at the age of 30.

Anyone else suffering with premature greying?Or is this a normal time of life to start ?

On a related note, what do others find is the best product for using in your hair to keep it all in place? Mine hair is about an inch long but has a mind of its own. I hate products that are a pain to wash out and hate those that leave bits in your hair that look like dandruff - any suggestions?

Shaving it all of is not an option by the way!

I went completely grey at 35, didn't bother me in the slightest. It was probably, in hindsight, a good thing as I held some quite responsible jobs at a much younger age than my peers.

Blokes dying their hair seems wrong somehow, but it's probably more acceptable nowadays. smile

They way I see it, the problem with dying it is that once you do it, you have to keep doing it until you reach an "appropriate" age to go grey. I cant be bothered with that.

Go to a salon and have it done properly. 'Just for Men' et al never look convincing - just look at Paul McCartney:

Cant even edit my way out of that one. Looks like I will never be a 'has been' as I never 'was'.

I had a twunt of a boss many years ago who had gone very grey. I bumped into him in NY years later and he had a mane of very obviously dyed chestnut hair. I couldn't stop laughing.

I went grey in my thirties and it has never bothered me.

I started going grey in my late 20s. Dyeing hair is the sign of an insecure man (and an insecure woman if she pushes her man to do it).

Who cares if you're going grey? I'm 31 and have been slowly going for the last couple of years now. Doesn't really bother me that much. Why don't you shave it?

Another thread for the batty boy sub forums.

If your Mrs has a problem with it then get it sorted. Failing that stop being a homo and age with dignity.
