We have a stag doo to plan for on the 8th of August, we've already done the paintballing, go karting, foreign country etc etc

This time we fancy the horses followed by a night out.

I've only been to the races a couple of times so am after a bit of info on which woudl be the best to go to....

Now we have to go on the 8th of august.... Whch offers...

08(F) Ascot | (F) Ayr E | (F) Haydock Park | (F) Lingfield Park E | (F) Newmarket | (F) Redcar

Now i have no idea which of these would be the best to go to - or really where the nearest towns / cities are to each one.

Any pointers?

Cheers

Dan

redcar is near newcastle...so bound to be good night out. Haydock near liverpool, ascot down south...warm beer and posh birds (sic), Ayr..middle of nowhere except some good golfing,

redcar would be best fun!!

Haydock is probably the closest one to Sheffield? I live near there, only been once though so I can't tell you how good an 'event' it is. But, you can be in Liverpool in twenty minutes and that will be a good night.

Newmarket is near Cambridge, home of horse racing/breeding and sure is a top night out, especially if go to the Newmarket Nights.

ETA You can combine horse racing in day then concert at night, then into town for clubbing!

If you need corporate transfer from Cambridge (or further afield) emaile me. wink

I can second this. My sister is in horse racing, based in Newmarket. Newmarket Nights is brilliant.

With the added bonus of there being a titty bar on the high street.

Dont go to Ayr is my only advice. The racecourse is behind a bloody Tesco!!
