I'm going to the summer ball at uni tonight and the dress I'm wearing comes just above my knees, I'm going to wear stilettos there but some of it is going to be outside on grass, and also, I think I might end up having to have my feet chopped off if I try and last in heels 'til 6am (it's going to be difficult enough as is). Now it might not look great, but how acceptable would it be to put some sandals in my handbag to swap into when my feet feel like death/I have to go outside on the grass? Has anyone else done this before?

Bit of a strange question, I just don't want to look ridiculous!

Thanks Cassie smile xx

I have been known to have a pair of (what some people call) tai chi shoes (thin black cloth, thin soles - have had velvet versions for dressing up too) in my handbag as they're quite small and go well with most outfits. Alternatively glittery flip flops smile

Example here - but mine are totally black;

ETA- being a car forum and not handbag.com - may I also suggest a nice soft pair of racing shoes? flexible enough to fit in a handbag wink

hehe I do have some OMP driving shoes coming that I ordered the other day, if they had arrived I would of taken them! wink

Those shoes look really comfy and easy to fit into a handbag, I'll have to keep a look out for some of those, I have little ballet shoes also, maybe these will go better. smile

Have fun!

I'd go with glittery flip flops if you have any. Or just get so pissed you dont care about having bare feet!

I love my converse but I don't think they are going to work for a black tie ball hehe smile

Got them in my handbag now, along with all the other necessaries!

I just kick my shoes off! hehe

There is something rather decadent about being in a ballgown in bare feet (feels rather sexy too!)
