The family were in the middle of watching a kid's DVD this evening, when my eldest (7YO) pronounced he would rather practice his writing and requested turning the TV off and playing the "nice piece of music he had heard on Little Einsteins" (parents will know!) a day or so earlier.

This turned out to be 'The Four Seasons' by Vivaldi! (*)
He hummed it pitch perfectly when we asked him to clarify.

He is normally into Kings Of Leon or the like...
When asked why he liked it, he couldn't explain.

He and his brother (4) are now sitting as good as gold drawing and chatting, rather than trying their best to kill each other yikes

So here I sit, enjoying Vivaldi with a nice glass of White and trying to scoop my jaw from the floor.
The Missus is equally perplexed.

  • - The wierd thing is, when the OH was pregnant with him, I used to play this exact CD, partly to relax her and partly because it is one of my favourite pieces of music.
It can't last...can it? hehe

ETA - Damn - just noticed this... thread!

Over lunch with my 3 year old, he proudly announced that he could control time and space at will.

Which did come as a bit of a shock.

He then announced that he was not happy about the divorce, and would manipulate the fabric of the universe so it never happened.

An even larger surprise.

Nothing seemed different though, so I checked after we finished lunch.

It seems I'm still divorced, but also the only one to remember the 2007 uprising following the MMGW fraud revelations, and the ensuing Tory government.

Sorry about that. He is only 3.

Niece sitting tonight ... managed to get her to doze off a couple of hours ago while watching David Attenborough and the Trials of Life. It was her choice of DVD though, she's 5 ... bless!
