If I was stranded on an island much like the Pitcairn Islands (-24.361109, -128.336792) only with out a human population.

Assuming that when I became stranded I didn't suffer from any injuries, My last meal was 12 hours ago, and on my person I had a swiss army knife and the clothes I was wearing, a pair of tattered jeans and a T-Shirt.

Also bare in mind I have only ever camped in a tent, and I have never trapped and killed an animal!

Not sure why the tattered jeans and T-shirt is relevant. Or, are you hoping for some Bear Grylls look-alike to come and ravish rescue you? hehe

The mutineers from the Bounty managed it, so you'd probably do ok. I'm sure that, once hungry enough, you work out what to do with that knife.

If you could make it maybe you could knock on the door of one of the residents and ask for a sandwich.

well, I thought the clothes would be important as I should imagine it would get pretty cold at night!

Well if you can't find any fresh water, you're dead in a few days. Then if you can't find any food, you're dead in a few weeks. If however you've watched Ray Mears of that Bear ttbloke, you will learn to use that knife on any available protein.....

Aye but bear in mind the level of interbreeding on Pitcairn makes Norfolk look like a veritable multicultural melting pot and they can't really be called human.

I have a feeling that a tent is not the only place you have camped.

I'd say 3-4 hours as they'd be no soap and no shower.

I think as long as you get water your body can survive for a couple of weeks, your going to be damn hungry tho. If you can find food or the odd fish to eat then you can last considerably longer.

Good point, he'd need tobacco to trade with the natives for bum fun.

Depends on how resourceful you are. If you couldn't come up with a way to catch fish, then about a week at best.

I wondered when the GD Flight would pipe up.

I'd survive for weeks with just my notebook and a Storno.

You would survive until you died a horrible painful death due to an infected wound or broken limb.
