Does any one else here have a problem with this?

I really struggle with it. I just can't do it, yet others around me get on with it fine. I know they are doing that fake laugh, and I have to stand there looking like a miserable bugger as I can't do the fake laugh. If I attempt it I end up sounding like a hissing cat that’s being choked!

I consider these two gits the masters of the fake laugh, Richard and Judy! In the first 20 seconds of this clip you will hear Judy do the fake laugh (fk it annoys me)just after Richard says 'where did it all go wrong...'

Does it bother you most in group situations, like in a pub when you have just finished telling a story.

Or in the shower at your gym?

People do it because they are nervous and want to please, or want to watch you naked, gagging on a piece of bacon tied to a line, whilst in their caretaker's cupboard.

There's a bloke across the road from me, he has got to be approaching his 80s. Whenever I'm talking to him and I say something he doesn't quite understand he just does a massive fake laugh. Puzzling.

What's really been boiling my piss recently is Jimmy Carrs spastic laugh on 8 Out Of 10 Cats, a show which i enjoy, but from mid-way through the last series I started noticing this. It's like a seal having an asthma attack. It goes right through me.

Anyone else noticed? You soon will now!

It is bizarre, but at least it's clearly genuine.

There's a fecker at work who has a fake laugh. Does it to practically anything that's said to him. My theory is people do it when they have nothing interesting to say back to you.

I used to have a boss who would finish speaking then give you that look, you know the one where he is expecting you to laugh?

You could see him get more upset as the seconds ticked by and you didn't laugh.

This is the one I have a problem with, and it's a great opportunity for others who posses the skill/desire to fake laugh to score some cheap boss points!

Wouldn't it be a very different world if everybody spoke their mind?

"Thats not funny - c*nt - know fk off" or something similar.

Just try it. You'll just join the rest of us laughing like richard and judy. everyone notices around you, the person telling the joke doesn't and even if they did social protocol states they wont say anything :-)

I fecking hate the fake laughs people have .........

Everyone of the female "executives" where I work have the same st slaggy fecking crap fake false tart laugh.... it does my head in when you say something completely unfunny but they feel the need to cackle like Macbeth's fecking witches....

fake fecking nails and fake cackles.... how they hell do they get so far.... actually don't answer that question as it scares me to think about it.
