Just bought one off someone i know. (bit of a weirdo!) Gave him 150 notes for it, as it was hardly used and so was like new, it also had a few extras. All in all nearly 600 worth of rifle.

Any how i have been playing with my new toy and have been massively impressed. I used to shoot in competitions at Bisley in a range of disciplins, so know what i am doing when it comes to setting up sights and achieveing high levels of accuracy.

The Webley Raider 10 is hugely impressive. Groupings of 10p at 25meters over 20 shots. Groupings of 5p at 15meters over 20 shots. It does vary depending on the type of pellet. (pointed ones being slightly better) Its a pre charged model, with a 10 shot bolt action repeater. Managed 100 shots before needing to recharge which is about 5 mins worth of pumping on a fairly sophicated 3-way stand pump. Its got a BSA scope, with baffel weights and conventional silencer. Anyone else had similar results with other models?

Got a nice little BSA springer. Black plastic, hard wearing, and does the business. I find the flat head pellets better...

Sounds good but not too unusual, there's not much to choose between modern PCP's from decent manafacturers - they're all very accurate and consistent. Do you know if it was made in brum or Turkey?

No idea. I have heard that the servicing department is shocking at Webley. I have had no problems with any seals or pressure losses though, so maybe i am fortunate! others have had minor grips with them. i thought the overall package was very high quality, lovely wood stock and no plastic, feels like a proper peice of equipment.

Air Rifles thumbup

I've got a Steyr LG110 HP that i use to shoot HFT (Hunter Field Target) and is one of the best rifles you can buy.

Newest toy is a Air Arms EV2 Mk2 to start shooting FT (Field Target) but it weighs a ton, unsilenced and LOUD! biggrin

I don't get the time to shoot live quarry much these days, i'm more intrested in competition shooting.

World HFT next year. woohoo

ETA - PCP is the only way, spring guns, while fun, are old hat.

you had any expirence with the raider 10? Also i need to get a tool kit for servicing. I have a manual on the way but Webley do not provide tools. (I have everything i need but its split into other tool kits i have so i would like to get a seperate one if they exist!)

Ammo, any pointers? ( I have been out of the loop for about 10 years so know nothing modern)

For hunting, i used to use either Air Arms Field or JSB Exact Diablos which were a nice weight and most importantly my rifles liked them, i also used the Bisley Magnum with reasonable results.

For competition shooting i hand select my pellets (weight and shape) and tend to favour the JSB Exact Diablo or the JSB Express Diablo (The Webley Mosquito is the same pellet as the Express but JSB don't sell them here and i need to import them as the Webley pellets are expensive)

With regards to the Raider 10, get yourself onto Airgun BBS and one of the guys over there will be able to help with instructions and tools if needed, or contact Blackpool Air Rifles who will bend over backwards to help you. I live in Edinburgh and drive down to Blackpool any time i need anything, such is their level of service. Top guys. thumbup

I would advise joining an Air Rifle club to learn a little more about the art of the sport and to get tips on setting your rifle up properly or getting mods to improve its performance.

Oh, and go and shoot HFT, it's brillant fun. biggrin
