Me?

So far-

Woken at 5:20 by Zep child Mk1. Child is told to bugger off.
Woken at 5:33 by Zep child Mk2. No reasoning with 17 month old child. Try to cuddle him back to sleep for a bit. Semi conscious wrestling ensues until Mrs Zep makes tea at 6:15.

Enormous tantrum from Zep child Mk2. Don't know why. Proper angry gutteral howling. Little fecker.

Change his nappy. Put nappy in the 'poo-bin', straighten up and bang my head on overhanging open cupbord door with staggering force. Ricked my neck and there's some blood.

Try to hurry things along so I can start my pre-approved lie-in. Get child Mk1 dressed and help them all downstairs at 7:10. Bring down tray with mugs/glasses. Mrs Zep says "I needed the baby bottle too -you're being a hinderence not a help". WTF'ingF?

Turn around and take fecking tray back upstairs. Frosty atmosphere.

What is father's day for again?

Well I certainly can't complain considering the above ! presented with a card, DVD, McLaren T-shirt and several small bars of Green & Blacks chocolate. Off fishing with my 5 year old son later !

First Father's day ever as a father and not just as a son - yippee! Although I'm unable to have a lie in or be properly waited upon (hand-and-foot) as OH is currently bearing child No.2 and has terrible morning sickness - hasn't made it past the sofa all week. Equally will probably never receive appropriate special Father's Day presents as my birthday is the day after.

Current day:

6.00 - Alarm. Sproglet has gone from waking up at 8.30 the last 2 weeks to waking up at 6.30 the past few days, which leaves me tired and in a foul mood all day and as such unable to look after the heir properly. Decided to second-guess the little bugger and wake up first so I have some time to myself.

7.00 - He's still asleep. Ate breakfast. Read PH some more.

8.00 - STILL asleep. Getting bored now, but can't commit to watching a film or anything else longwinded as may wake at any moment.

Daughter woke me up at 6.00 am and wouldn't be reasoned with. Mrs Cobra Kid is still in bed and will be til about 10.30 I reckon. She is expecting a little boy in September so I don't mind too much.

Didn't actually know it was fathers day til I read this thread!

Similar to the OP..the promised lie in & breakfast in bed have gone out the window...I was up at 6am..now I`m running out of goodies to pacify the children..I`m planning a swap soon with the missus who`s taking a long lie & ignoring the frustrated outbursts coming from the lounge.

It's my 1st one as a father and that feels great. I missed the run this morning, seeing the new GT-R that was going to be there and all that, Mum had had a rough night so I couldn't leave her and bubba to go out to play. Life may be changed but it's absolutely better smile

If you recall Lucie, I was simply seeking help over the internet for a head injury consultation -and only asked what you were wearing for visualisation purposes.
