This is something that gets bandied about every now and then, and I've seen it again a few times in the last couple of days.

So, who are this clique of elite punsters and their sycophantic hangers on that, depending on who is posting, either ruin the place for everyone else, or make it what it is?

'They' get mentioned a fair bit, but no-one actually identifies who they are.

Is there really some crew of 'big dogs' running amok through PH like they own the place? If so, I've missed them somehow.

I don't mean this to be either a 'who are the funnny posters?' or a 'who pisses you off on PH?' thread, so please don't do that.

But I would like to know - If you are one who has complained as above - who do you actually mean?

And, if you haven't, does the description sound accurate - is this a cliquey place? Is that the perception? Is it a small crowd of jokers and their 'followers' spoiling it for everyone else?

I'd say there are a fair few people on here who are "popular". Which is a bit of a joke really as it is an internet forum. Fair enough, I can see why people who know each other through the PH meets address each other on first name terms, but people who blatantly attention we is a bit annoying. And embarrasing.

Surely(sp) after 9000 posts and 64 months you know who the best players are.

These are the names that you see on a thread and instantly know it will be a classic..

not that i am going to "out" them as they will find me and hunt me down..

We need a tinfoil hat smiley

I was going to say you as a joker, but G'Kar was so much better, but he left frown

So that makes you one of the sheep following the lemmings off the end of the cliff.

When I have referred to the "usual suspects" etc. i mean a small group of three or four people.

They like to start pointless threads purely for attention and quite often as parodies of existing threads.

Then there's the making a ridiculous comment and getting a band of donkeys braying "+1" or "rofl". Comedy gods.

You don't have to look too far to spot them as they usually prey in small groups. smile

To be honest, that's exactly the sort of post I meant.

To whom, precisley, are you referring?

If they are so obvious, why wont someone name them.

I don't notice them, maybe I'm pro jokers/usual suspects.

Yes, I know - it was an in joke between La Chienne Nolar and myself.

Oh st, I'm doing "in jokes", maybe I'm in one of these cliques you speak of.

Oh the shame.
