so as the title states i was on cloud 9 for the day.

so there you go..... there is some good news for some of us!

I once got one for just over £500, allowed me to buy my MR2 a couple of months earlier than planned. biggrin

Was a very pleasent start to the day, I'm not great with keeping track of my money and had no idea that I was owed it back. I rather like the IR for not just keeping it.

I'm still waiting for £2500 the taxman owes me. Still, it's only been a year since I submitted the claim, I'm sure it will turn up soon. frown

Same here (for £4.58!!! I mean was it really worth bothering with?)

Hope you didn't fold it though and mess with their automated letter opening and cheque cashing machine wink

I used to get ttting self-assesment forms all the time, until for two years running they had to give me several hundred quid back.

Shock horror I've never had one since.
