1 cubic metre = 1,000 litres.

Pool volume is 2 x 3 x 1 = 6 cubic metres. Therefore 6,000litres (or 100x the size of an average fuel tank!)

Or waterplants, fountain heads and pumps...?

I don't know why he even asked, just bung the garden hose in, turn it on and then stop when it's full...

I'm assuming the OP would like to chuck some form of addative (sp?!) or similar into the pond??

Thanks folks! Unfortunately, nothing as interesting as additives required. My wife bought a UV filter that looks big enough to make the whole of the Pacific crystal clear & I just wanted to check that she hadn't wasted money before beating her.

Beat her anyway, just in case.

Does 2x3x1 require "maths experts"?

TBH...if you cant do your 2 times table should you be allowed a pond?

Sure, but I think the OP needed clarification on whether to beat his wife while filling the pond, or afterwards while savoring a cold beer.

a 12W UV should be more than enough for that pond size.
