OK,

Given a free choice, with no work, family ties etc, where would you CHOOSE to live in the UK..(Not abroad), or are you quite happy where you are?...

scratchchin

I think I would choose the Pickering/North York moors area, or maybe Hawes/Aysgarth in the dales...cloud9

I'd stay put I think (Wiltshire). With no work in the way, I can only imagine I'd enjoy it even more than I do already....

There's a council house at the end of The Mall I've always quite fancied.

That'd do.

Probably move down to the Devon/Cornwall area. I've only been there once but it seemed nice, and bit warmer than the North East.

Cotswolds, I saw a lovely valley overlooking parts of it and I often wondered how much it would have been to buy that hillside and build a house with a 30 foot window.

I'd live near Taunton I think, somewhere out in the country but with something approximating to civilisation not too far away.

I'd want a flat in London, a castle in Scotland and a ski chalet in the alps as well. Actually throw in somewhere with a beach too - St Tropez maybe? smile

I'm quite happy where I am in Shropshire. Nice quiet county with some great roads close by smokin

You'd soon get fed up with the traffic jams and tourists in the summer - Thats what I keep telling the missus who wants to move there, anyway!

I grew up in Lymington & will move back there one day

Pembrokeshire. On the coast somwhere. Simmilar coastline to Cornwall but far less crowded.
