I did a search so sorry if this has been covered before (no doubt it has been!)

These price comparison sites, uswitch, moneysupermarket etc, call me cynical but surely its in that sites interest to say "Yes, its cheaper here quick click on this link" as they make money from each referral.
I have never seen them say "You know what, stay where you are mate its not that much difference and the hassle its not worth it"

And trying to work out how much you pay qtr or monthly is a tad pain in the arse.
So are they to be trusted and is there really that much difference in price (I was just quoted a £198 saving) as if there was everyone would be flocking to them? Or is it geographical and some places are cheaper?

Help!

ETA These are for gas and electicity prices.

P.S I am with Utility warehouse.

Are you residential or commercial? If commercial, PM me as I'm a utilities broker.

I switched before with uswitch.

Took about 5 minutes and saved £20 a month on the direct debit.

It's probably only worth doing once every couple of years but there's nothing really to lose.
