I'm having an issue!

One of our neighbours' cats is a fckin menace....not in a cute menacing kind of way....in a nasty bstard kind of way.

It comes into my garden every day and at night, and fights my two cats! There is a lot of fur and that aweful cat screaming noise, it wakes me and JCB123 Jnr up....

I understand that cats fight, but my cats don't leave our garden and they're getting battered!

In addition, it has started to hiss and scratch at the rabbits cage, they're safe but now sht scared!

I've kicked, punched and thrown stones at this cat, but it still comes back.....is there anything I can do short of catching it, putting it in a bag with some bricks, and 'splash'?!

It is becoming beyond a joke now...I need a full nights sleep and I'm worried that one of my cats might get badly hurt....

Water pistol - every time you see it, soak it. It will learn after so many soakings. And its fun!!!!

Difficult, and you have my sympathy.

First step would be to keep your own cats in at night (that's what Cats Protection advise anyway)

After that then some aversion therapy is needed. Water is good. Powerful water pistol, or better still, a freezer bag full of water landing close to the cat will usually do the trick

super soaker with anything from vinegar to undiluted amonia depending on how nasty you feel. Clothes-peg guns also tend to do a great job in giving the little mongrels something to think about without actually doing any real damage. I would counsel against the bag + brick method, it is a living creature and even though probably a blood relative of Satan, somebdy loves it...

You could try spraying it with a hose. If it's anything like my cats it won't come back after a couple of times.
I managed to stop mine from ever going onto kitchen worktops with use of a water pistol smile

Speak to the owner? and ask if they can get it neutered, put down etc.

Teach your cats how to fight properly ? I don't want to open a whole, which is best debate, but Krav Meowga is good for building up their confidence. Tell them that Bullies only respect you if you stand up for yourself.

Failing that, remember it is only a cat, catch it and lock it in the freezer for ten minutes

Any chance the owners of the cat may be sympathetic?

There is lots you can do to stop them getting in the house, the best one these days is if your cats are identichipped, you can get a cat flap that only lets your cats in and out by reading their chip.

Keeping it out of the garden is harder. Water hose may be a solution but you'll have to be alert to when the cat comes in to your garden a spray it every time for the first few times. Hopefully this will then stop the cat menacing the poor bunnies.

Catch it and throw it in your boot, drive about 50 miles to a cat home and hand it in saying it has been just hanging around at your place and you dont know whos it is.

It doesn't come in the house, and it's mainly a problem at night, when my cats are out....I had thought about catching it and removing it from the county....but it's a slippery bstard....especially when wet!

My cats are hard enough to chase it off, but it still comes back...

I'll try and talk to the neighbours, but I know what their answer will be...."There's nothing we can do; now if you don't mind, we're going to go and eat something!"

Well when they say that, mention that it is not your fault if the cats head is impregnated into the pavement next time they see it.

Along the same lines, nastier than vinegar but less than amonia, is add a bottle of Tabasco sauce to the water.

entice cat to you with some food.

pick it up and place it in your car boot.

Drive a good 30 miles away.

remove cat's collar and release into the wild.
