eBay listing removed after the auction finished and paid...

Ok, I've never had this happen to me before...!
I've just had an email from eBay saying that a listing that I was bidding on has been removed, although it finished yesterday and I've already paid for it?
I have an email from PayPal as well (paid on credit card through PP) but it does nothing more than summarise the transaction.
So where do I stand on this?
I presume that as the transaction has already been succesfully completed, I'm covered by PP?
Never had it happen before and the 'Resolution Centre' seems pretty useless, so thought it was best to ask!

This happened to me once, bought a novelty sign thing as a gift and ebay pulled the listings because there were copyrighted logos on them. Try mailing the seller first, I did and they just put the transaction through as normal - just didn't get the feedback.

I'd emailed the guy when I posted this just asking if he was happy to go on with the happy transaction.
I've already paid, so I'm just awaiting delivery.
A bit stupid of eBay because, having already paid for the item there is nothing achieved by pulling the auction!

the muppets did that to me too, I paid and he sent it too me and then re-listed another!
