So, starting a sentence with ''So''
Discussion
So, is it me or has this reached epidemic/pandemic levels. I hear it on the news, at work, Sarkozy recently: (something like) ''So, we are gathered here today in Normandy..'' and there are more examples, none of which I can think of right now. What's even more infuriating is the more you think about it the more you find yourself using it!

The French have been doing it for years. It might not be a conjunction in the French language. (That's a guess!)In Amerigoland and England, it's different and I often think, "I didn't see the question or problem."
