It started about an hour ago, small noises coming from the street outside, so the TV was muted and i had a look, nothing of great interest so i carried on working. About 20 minutes later, more noise. Voices. So i looked out. 2 Chavs in my grandads car. After chasing them off i decided to ring the police. They were here within 20 minutes, all well and good. They even brought an helicopter with them, which after 2 mins of been overhead was superceded by the noise of more police sirens.

In the 20 minutes i was waiting, heard a bit more noise, so i flew straight outside, hammer in hand. Had a quick nosy around, sprinted to the main road, another massive bang. Looked up and there is the biggest plume of smoke i have seen for years rising into the air.

All in all, A very strange night.

I honestly cannot find a fault with the police, they have found 2 lads hiding with the helicopter, and are coming back once they have lifted them.

They often know where to look... called them on two lads smashing up a car in the car park over the road once, they had long gone by the time the police turned up but they had a drive round the local area and it wasn't long until they found them.

Turns out the two lads they got stink of fire, and match the description that i gave.

Sounds like a pretty good result for plod! thumbup I thought the helicopter was a little extreme, for a car break-in, but if it gets a result like this its a job well done.

So what was the bang and smoke? Your grandad's car going up or the Police calling for SAS back-up?

Mexico.

Just been out for a look, roughly 10-12 40foot trailers belonging to a local bed firm have been burnt out, couldnt stop for pictures or a proper look as police had a access only in place.

Hope the little s get a long time for it, but knowing the CPS no charges will be brought.

Just think, you could have prevented that lorry fire by actually letting them steal your grandfather's car. I think that's really selfish of you. Will no-one think of the lorries?!

yes

This practically makes you an accomplice.

Throw away the key, I say.

The lorries were well on fire by the time they tried nabbing the car. Think they were looking for a get-away vehicle. Great choice in a '96 Skoda thing. hehe

I was hoping the cops had brought one of these with them

And that was responsible for the big plume of smoke when they found the youths in the lorry compound and opend fire. That would teach them to steal a Skoda or even try.

Nope, he lives about 5 or 6 doors away.

The mill just behind the lorry yard does, you are thinking of the right place. Can remember the last fire there.
