What do we have?
Discussion
The Eygptians have the Pyramids, although they're pretty s
t.
There's the Colosseum in Rome, the Great Wall of China, the Taj Mahal, the Empire State building in New York and the Statue of Liberty are known world wide.
You have the Eiffel Tower....for fecks sake, even the French have one over us.
Hell, even bloody Iraq had the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.
We've got s
t mountains, no Great Barrier Reef, no Grand Canyon, no Niagra/Angel Falls.
What's the best we can offer? Buckingham Palace?
Show me what's great about Britain. Pictures essential.

Stonehenge
Is it really that good?Does it make you go 'WOW' like the Grand Canyon does?
The grand canyon was made by nature. Its stunning, but its essentially a big hole in the ground - a larger version of Chedder Gorge.
Personally i think monument valley is much, much more impressive than the grand canyon.
However, stonehenge cant be compared to these, as it is a man-made structure.
Bearing in mind, it was believed to be constructed between something like 8000-3000 BC (The pyramids were constructed in what? 2000 BC, the Great wall not until 1400 AD)
and its perfect.
On the day of the summer solstice, the sun rises through the primary arch, and lights up the altar stone - and on the winter solstice it shines through the smallest arch onto the second altar stone - you can count the calender months through the arches with both the sun and the moon.
Its the most accurate calender machine ever made, and done with basic tools and grasp of engineering, and yet, its lasted all this time, and still is 100% accurate.
damn right its impressive.
