Obviously not much help but one of ours was hit many years ago when he was around 3, quite serious and touch and go. He made it to 19 3/4.

Fingers crossed - it's amazing what they will survive. I'm not sure if it's too far away for you but Fitzpatrick Referrals in Eashing, Surrey are very, very good and can do amazing things with broken bones.

One of mine got run over before his first birthday.

Luckily it was only his tail. Cost a little over £500 though which is a bit of a rip off. Is yours insured?

Hope your cat recovers soon.

Vets are brilliant these days so try not to worry too much.

Ali, as has been said above, cats are resillient buggers and vets are brilliant. The technology that they have these days is amazing. Keep your chin up.

Thank you everyone else for the thoughts biggrin

He was bleeding from the mouth & nose, but was alert and breathing (raspily) and had draggedd himslef @ 50 yards fromt he road to the grass by the front door

I am so scared
