Aside from the obvious answer.. a town..

Where about do these animals make their dens?

I am familiar with them in the country, and had a few dens in the woods around us. But where I am now surrounded by surburbia for many miles in each direction, where do they make their dens, there is no woodland around, there are a couple of parks but they are very open bits of grass...

There is three that are regualry in the gardens of our flatblock..

Any ideas?

There used to be a fox den under the laurel bushes on the roundabout by me, I'd say a lot of the council borders/green areas with bushes etc have a few dens.

You're not paying attention to your surroundings.

If you have a regular foxy visitor, there will be a rhododendron bush, or similarly overhanging plant in a bank somewhere nearby. They need a surprisingly small amount of concealment.

Somewhere that covers about 2 feet from your eyes will do.

Friend of mine has a family of foxes in the private garden of her pub in Harlow. It's fenced off from the public so they aren't disturbed, they're quite tame and get fed regularly from the pub scraps.

In my garden

fking feral pests. If I wasn't living in suburbia I'd duck back to the farm and get the shotgun and deal with them

No idea, but I have seen plenty in the forest. They don't half scream when you piss them off.

C/O Vic Reeves Big Night Out.

Vic, talking to a fox: Where do you live?

Fox: In a burrow.

Vic: Foxes don't live in burrows.

Fox: I do, I live in the London burrow of Lewisham.

Peartree Traveodge, Oxford and they then use the Bark & Ride. This is why you NEVER see an urban fox during a strike and there are so few seen on a Sunday and Bank Holiday.
