Military Robot Could Feed on Dead Bodies
Discussion
"We are sorry to inform you that your 18 year old son Jimmy was killed in action serving his country. We will not be able to release his body for a family funeral as it was gobbled up by a Steam-Punk-O-Tron-3000. You'll be pleased to know the energy Jimmys still warm corpse provided meant the giant Deathbot could negotiate roughly 20 meters of flat terrain whilst blasting lasers in the air in random arcs whilst cackling mechanically. I bid you good day"

Upon the EATR platform, the Pentagon could build all sorts of things — a transport, an ambulance, a communications center, even a mobile gunship.
I like the way they suggest that the last thing on their minds is to turn it into another weapon, even though it is a military robot."Yea, we are developing this robot that will survive by eating dead bodies on the battlefield. It's job? Oh it will be a gardening bot, or somethning else the military might find handy"
Why is it that I read stuff from Fox with the same attitude I do when I read the Sunday Sport
That said an interesting concept and superficially a great idea, yet like communism it is totally flawed in reality in terms of it’s acceptability and practical implementation.
Putting morals aside for a minute I wonder what happens it is runs out of plants and dead bodies to use, being military based perhaps it can then create a fresh source of dead bodies…

This may just me a cynic, but something tells me the 'ambulance' part of that equation might be problematic."What do you mean the still-living person conveniantly died in transit? That's the sixth one today!"
