Yes. Given the size of the universe it would be naive to think we are "alone".

Do I think we have had a visit or two, abductions and anal probing then No.

Yes.

Either that or I was anal probed by some hobos under a bridge.

For my own sanity I believe in aliens.

If you believe in evolution, then logic dictates that you should also believe in aliens.

I'm not saying they are as advanced as us, nor that we are as advanced as them. Just that life quite probably exists "out there."

Search youtube for 'the most important image' and watch the video concerning the Hubble deep field. It's a big place to be alone.

Of course there are. Whether they look and act like the ones in Star Trek is a different kettle of piscines.

Yes.

Being in the same state of evolution / knowledge / vicinity at the same time to warrant communication, no.

I think the most likely form of contact has to be previous intervention, such as a 'genesis' experiment. 2001 has always been the most realistic piece of SF for me (apart from the Starchild bit). Arthur C was normally on the money.

In the universe, very probably. Visiting us, no.

I'd say it's likely that life evolved on other planets the same way it did on ours.

Possibly. There might be microbes or amoebic type creatures somewhere. but I struggle to believe that there are humanoid creatures anywhere (A la Roswell).

It's not a question of "belief" is it?

I SUSPECT that there might be - but I have no proof either way.

Agreed, this isn't a matter for religion!
