Anyone know why Russia has a President and Prime Minister and who is responsible for what? Who runs the country? Putin is the Prime Minister and Mevedev the President but Obama went over there and made a deal with the prime minister, not the President, so who is the man to impress, who controls the codes to the Nuclear Arsenal?

Both the President and the PM are puppets. The people who pull the strings make up what is the modern incarntion of the KGB, or so I read a while ago. Having said that Putin is the more powerful of the two.

...after Obama`s departure from Moscow, the fancy talk of new co-operation with the West evaporated when Medvedev did not change the tone of Russian displeasure at NATO defensive missiles in Poland on Russia`s front yard by moving some military hardware of their own to the Russian/Polish border in response.
