As seems to be the tradition on ph these days I thought I'd share my exciting news with random starngers and seek some advice. I'm 24, split up with my long term gf of 5 years at the turn of the year and she met a new guy in Jan. We were still living together until April when I got a place with a mate. We've not been in touch much since the break up and there was some bitterness towards the end but we'd been best mates since the age of 11 so thought this would pass.

We split for many reasons, me being a bit of an a*se who doesn't know what he wants being the main one. Her wanting kids and me wanting to wait till 30ish was always an issue.

Lond story short found out off a mate that she's 4 months gone, dropped her a brief e-mail "cheers for the heads up". I was kinda knocked for 6 as I'm pretty sure I'm still in love with her. We've been texting all day and I kinda get the feeling she's not in love with this guy (only known him 6 months ffs) and everythings all just fked in my head now and I fear now that I've found out her heads a bit full of what if's etc. We've arranged to meet up next week for a drink and a chat cos she's says shes got loads she wants to say to me and theres loads I want to say. But I'm pretty sure I/we shouldn't really say any of them with a kid on the way that deffo isn't mine.

Don't know why I needed to share that with ya'll but I did! Thanks for your time lol

You sound like you are considering getting back together with her and bringing up someone elses child.

Think hard. With your brain.

Ok this may not be the case, but it sounds to me like you guys broke up, she goes off and gets what she wants (a kid) and now she wants to get back with you.

Is that what you want, to raise somone elses child? Are things any different now to when you broke up. Are the reasons you broke up still valid?

You need to answer these questions yourself before you meet her again.

I had a long term GF at your age, and split up. Head was all over the place. It's normal.

Sack her right off, and rediscover your mates and stay single for a bit.

Wait until your 30ish and settle for the one that annoys you the least.

Sack her right off, did I mention that ?

Have you had a good shag with another since you split?

Will you feel pissed off if she tuns up with her partner for your drink?

What you need is to head on over to JJB and buy some of the latest run the fk away trainers.

Thought a lot of you then, at least she tried to get over you before popping out some strangers brat

Did you shag her during the Jan-Apr 'living together but not together bit'?

Because, if you did, that baby will suddenly beyours, whatever the truth of the situation.

Stay away.

You still don't want kids of your own so why do you want to look after some other blokes spawn?

My only advice is to tread VERY VERY carefully.

IF you do get back together with the ex, this other bloke is going to be in your life until the child leaves home.
How jealous a person are you??.... the other bloke will be making decisions with the (ex)girlfriend and will always be around at parties, xmas etc.

I'll second that one.

Paternity test is a must in that case.

Is she still with the impregnator? or has he scarpered?

If the child isn't yours, walk away now. Plenty more fish and all that jazz.

Well she can't get any more pregnant than she already is, so I would say she is about as safe as they come.
