'what is the point' things you own
Discussion
Everytime I saw the title to the thread: 'what is the point' things in your town' I thought it said 'what is the point' things you own so to get it out of my system I have started this thread which covers it.
To start us of I have an old canadian metal number plate at the bottom of my garden and often think to myself 'what is the point'.
Over to you...

You are a PH'r therefore you like cars.
I Have a bit of an old sofa i have burnt my name into.
For some reason i still have all my bib numbers for every race i have done in the past two years - dont really know why i started keeping them, just do.
About 4 pairs of old running shoes i convince myself i will wear when it comes to painting/gardening etc. I also have a stick dedicated to stirring paint, but that is an essential bit of man kit.

Almost the entire contents of my garage and a lot of the debris surrounding it.
I have two project cars, two trailers and a shed load of spares and fancy bits to build one track car and one 'fancy' car. I work away a lot these days and don't get the chance to work on them.
I have loads of tools and stuff that hasn't even found itself out of the box or packet. (Not expensive either, just things I bought that I thought would be useful.)
I love them. My life would be empty without them but they serve absolutley no subjective, objective or practical purpose.
Oh, and probably any jewelery I own. What's the point in it other than willy waving? All my jewelery is worth about £30 retail, but I like it. Go figure.

But, on reflection, a double bed!
I assume you're single and therefore suggesting that a double bed is, quite literally, a waste of space?Piffle, I'm single and couldn't go back to sleeping in a single bed if you paid me. Enjoy the space, man.

So I guess it was a tad stupid to nominate my DB as a 'what is the point' but was more a poking-a-finger-at-myself as a bit of fun sort of way.
