For fks sake is there nothing that isn't controversial these days? Apparently anti-hunting groups are up in arms about an advert for equestrian equipment at Tesco being placed on a pro-hunting website. To an uneducated person like myself, the thought occurs that surely successful advertisements are placed where potential buyers are likely to see them... In this case, a website where people who have horses are likely to visit. How the hell does this one little advert suddenly imply that Tesco are now staunchly in favour of hunting with dogs? fking PC fking bullst.

/rant over.

That's ridiculous. Nobody who rides with a hunt would buy riding kit from Tesco!

I think they would, but would send a member of staff in to get it smile

I think they would. Poor people need to save money; rich people prefer to.

Indeed. They didn't get rich (and stay rich) by pouring money away......

I thought poor people lived on benefits these days, as opposed to working in the mines, fields and factories and thereby doing something useful?

You wouldn't say that if you saw the size of some of the horse transporters at my local hunt - you could live in them quite comfortably!

Chortle. From the dawn of time until the motor car was invented, everybody rode horses. Were they all s?

Just the price one pays for being a herbivore really... or you could just let people get on with their lives. And no, I've never been on a hunt and am neutral on the matter, I just try not to tell other people what to do.

Surely this is only a "controversy" because the animal rights / anti-hunting lobbies are trying to make it into one?

The hatred seethes through and they insist on demonising their opposition rather than engage in reasoned debate... "How dare they advertise to animal murderers" etc...

It's a non-issue. There is no controvertial issue here, save for a further campaign of demonisation and bullying arising from a rabid knee-jerk reaction to any mention of anyone involved in hunting arising from their opponents.
