It's 40 pages long! 40 pages of what is and isn't covered if I'm ill! FFS, if I'm ill back in England I just go to a doctor or hospital and everything is paid for - if I'm ill in the US by the time I've read what I'm covered for I'll be dead!

I think it'll be cheaper to have a jet on standby 24/7 to take me back to England incase I get ill (even including a BUPA subscription)! The US healthcare system really is terrible!

Its not to help you. Its so when you try and sue someone in the US (a legal requirement if living there by all accounts) they can wave it at you and tell you you arent covered.

Yep, I had a policy (well I didn't 'cos I didn't take it out), I forget the exact details, but it said to claim for a heart attack I had to have three things, ECG had to show something, a chemical change or something and another - all had to be present at the same time.

Got this checked out (the whole policy) (sisters a doctor), yep , I could have all 3 at the same time, but I'd be dead apparently - so basically they were trying to sell me something that I could never claim for (and this was just one example of their underhand policy).
