Not sure which section to post this in so the generic lounge it is smile

We're reluctantly hoping to find a new home for two rabbits.

Mr and Mrs Flopsy are both dwarf lops and aged 18 months and nine months. Both are fully vaccinated and Mr Flopsy has been neutered.

Both have very good temperaments, and enjoy being petted and eating from my hand, although do not like being picked up and handled too much so are probably not best suited to very young children.

They have a large two storey hutch with a six foot run attached which can go with them to a new home if required, and they both enjoy having space to run free in the garden.

If you're interested drop me an email/pm but in summary we want them to go to a good home where they'll be well looked after be let out daily to run round a garden. Oh and we're in Farnborough

Do Mr and Mrs Flopsey come with a price tag?
Just trying to decide if its cheaper to buy yours or go to Sainsburys and get a pre-diced one.

They definitely don't, I experimented for ages spray painting rabbits. None of them ever came back.

You called? biggrin

Contact "Rabbit Rehome" if you want to rehome Mr and Mrs Flopsy.

May I also suggest getting Mrs Flopsy neutered as females are prone to nasty uterine cancer and it would be awful if Mr Flopsy lost his mate when it can be avoided.

Gorgeous buns biggrin

I would take them off your hands in an instant if it wasn't for the OH threatening me with divorce (before we're married!) if I get another rabbit frown

They make such great pets though!

A little part of me is really proud to see our latest rehomed bunny go from being a nervous little twitchy thing who was utterly terrified of humans, to a bunny who will jump in your lap and lick your hands for attention. I'm so proud of her.

They are so mis-understood. So many people consider them to be 'boring', but where are these 'boring' rabbits kept? Cooped up in a small cage all day, i'll bet!

Ours live in our kitchen and will chase us for attention, open doors (which are obviously slightly ajar, rabbits ain't that big) follow us around etc etc. They are actually very intelligent and love company! They each have their own character which we have allowed to develop and they can be so naughty at times too. Lovely pets.

You're very lucky to get licks. We've had six house rabbits now, and only one, Moopie, ever gave us a lick. Just once, one each, to make us pick her and Micky from the rehome centre. She never licked us again, and we sadly lost her six weeks ago. Micky has a new mate, "Rosie", (always preceded by "nosey" because she is!). They've all had different characters, no two have been even vaguely similar, although Rosie does "pop-up" on her hind legs like our second rabbit used to.

Micky looks just like your tan lop. We'd have them but I'm not sure how they'd cope with a two and a half hour car journey. I know Micky gets hyper after fifteen minutes, good job the vets is only ten minutes away.

Any one else thinking of Father Ted

"Where exactly are you gonna put the rabbits?" "In the Vice Father!"

"When I said "take care of" the rabbits, I was thinking in a Julie Andrews kind of way. I now realise you thought I meant it in sort of an Al Pacino way."

They'll be fine!!

Our vet says to put them each in a cat carrier with food and water and just drive. Make sure they are cool enough and give them somewhere quiet and dark (not too dark!) for 24 hrs with food and water once arrived and they'll be just A-OK.

Our bunnies (we call them beans) have amazing little characters. Treacle loves jumping into bed and Coco will run under the bed and sleep there for hours. They are house rabbits but go out in the garden when we go on holiday (to boarding hutches) but seem quite happy to lollop around the house and watching tv.

Such misunderstood animals. More people should have rabbits biggrin

Do yours nose nudge you? It is just so cute!

And yes I am very lucky to be licked. I've spent so many hours with those 2 winning their trust and showing them that humans aren't all that bad. I think they might just tolerate me now wink

Have two attention seeking cats and rather large koi pond (7+K gallons) so the bunnies take up a little too much of what little spare time we have.

No money wanted for them just a good home.
