Ear stretching

WTF is that all about? And what do these people do when they finally grow up and realise that they've fvcked up the side(s) of their head?
The other day, saw a young girl (early 20s) working in a shop. Facially quite attractive, but she had a hole in her ear about the size of a 10p piece. Wonder how she's going to feel on her wedding day?
Nope, each to their own and all that but I just don't get this one at all. I'm clearly VERY old!

Presumably she's going to have chosen to marry someone with similar interests, or at least understands and appreciates it, plus she'll be surrounded by friends and family who also don't have a problem with it, so I guess she'll feel just f*cking dandy! As long as she's not claiming benefits from the taxpayer to pay for her ear decoration, I don't see why you feel the need to be so concerned?

I never understand these.
I suppose they're kind of like tattoo's but not as attractive. Is it like a kudos thing? I don't think the really small holes look too awful but the ones with 2-3cm diameter plastic 'O' rings look bloody horrific.
Has anyone on here got one and could they explain what they're about?

HTH
I read this earlier and thought the same thing. Popped out to the shops and was served by a cashier who had obviously had them in both ears but has since removed the whatever it's called that goes in the hole.
Anyway, his lobes looked horrible. All saggy and wrinkly. The guy could only have been in his mid 20s.
How do doctors return the lobes to something approaching their original state?

You should see it when the lobe had snapped because they strecthed it too far too soon. Anyway, his lobes looked horrible. All saggy and wrinkly. The guy could only have been in his mid 20s.

I had one a year or so ago, you just stretch a normal ear piercing with them, does'nt hurt too much.
They reckon 6mm is the point where you might have "trouble" having your ear back to nomal.
Mine healed in about 10days back to a normal earing size!
It was just a phase for me, was bored so gave it a go, got bored of it, took it out.
