On a sort of whim (well I've been toying with the idea for some time) I've just shaved all the hair off my head. All of it.

The girlfriend gets back in two hours and we're supposed to go out to a restaurant this evening. She is going to go mad hehe

For all those considering it, it does give you a bit of a visual shock. I'm off to sit in the sun for a bit in a desperate attempt to get some colour into my scalp.

You wont regret it. Once youve got some colour on your bonce, your missus will like it too. Were you thinning? Do you have dark or light hair usually?

As my daughter points our regularly, I'm thinning on top, not enough to warrant getting rid of it all just yet, but that's where I'm heading.

...if you want to take away some of the focus from your head - shave your pubes off and run around the house naked, shouting 'Last Chicken In Sainsburys!!!'

Definitely, we need before and after shots just so we can see how much trouble you're going to be in.

I had a bit of a receding hairline and was getting a little bit thin on top but because I'm 6'3" nobody noticed that.
But it certainly wasn't catastrophic, it was just an idea I had. The hair was brown when it was there.

I assume you've taken the plunge then? How long did it take before the top of your head started getting colour in it?

ETA OMG my head feels like emery paper.

It will start to go red when you OH gets home. If you go down the pub the process will speed up. Then you will know where the phrase 'slaphead' comes from!

I was pissing about trying to gel my hair one night when I was 21 and realised it was a waste of time and hair gel, so took the lot off. In fact, I only went to a number 2 comb. Now, Im straight on the clippers (no comb at all) weekly. Lucky for you its another mild summer - heads burn EASILY.

Things you will now no longer need to worry about:

Helmet hair - if youre a biker or in construction
sex hair - ermmm...if you have sex
greasy hair
hair gel
hair brush/combs
taking two bottles into the shower (Radox for men does the lot)
dandruff

etc etc

Things you WILL now have to worry about:

keep it short. Fuzzy just looks ste
sunburn
cold - buy multpiple beanies
people will assume youre a thug or think you are hard
erm...thats about it.

Its the best. Especially when pretty girls go "Oh can I see what it feels like?!" and stroke it. (and they WILL do this) cloud9

^^^ This is very true...

Shaved mine off when I was 20-21, grew it back after a couple of years, shaved it again, grew it back again, now I'm going really grey but OH has banned me from shaving it off again...

Get the Mach3 on it, and shave it properly! (Note - You might need to put some aftershave balm on after this as the skin might dry out the first few times)
