Recommend me an online shoe store

Hi all,

Went shopping yesterday to replace some very old sneakers which are falling apart.

Due to the my size (48 in Europe, 13-14 UK) I'm having a lot of difficulty finding anything in the normal high street stores. Now my idea is to buy some shoes in the US (cheaper and most sites seem to have bigger sizes available), and ship them over here.

Found some nice ones on Zappos.com, but they don't seem to want to ship to Europe. Therefore my question : does anybody know of a US site which they've used to their satisfaction and wish to recommend?

Asos don't seem to go above UK 12 and Brantano doesn't stock things like Adidas (which I'm looking at). Thanks for the tips though.

I was going to mention some of the Golf shoe retailers - Footjoy, Nike, Dexter..

I have bought from here - Fantastic quality.

Your other option is US/Can Ebay, after finding the right shoes to buy. You might be lucky and get the dress shoes from Footjoy on EbayUS.

Presumably you realise that the sizes aren't the same? Eg. I'm size 8 UK which equates to size 10 US.

Seconded, they are great and delivery is quick too, I use them regularly being a size 15 myself! Also check out www.walktall.co.uk too for one in the UK.

ETA - Also Footlocker US now deliver to the UK, I bought some from them in June, excellent range but took a few weeks to arrive though. www.footlocker.com

Give me a month or so and I'll have my store set up which should solve all of your big shoe problems. I'll be stocking a fairly wide range across a number of different disciplines in the largest sizes I can get from the manufacturer. Everything will be avaialble in sizes up to at least a 14 though.

If you are looking for Adidas, they sell direct through their website now though. Although I found it a total pain in the sack to navigate.
