other half to live?

Well I finally cleared up what is going to happen when the OH is kicked out of her flat and finishes her degree in a little under a month.

Instead of maybe leaving to go back home to Finland, she has asked to stay at mine until she has something sorted (could be a few weeks/a few months/or worse), I was asked after a day of drinking when she was sober and i agreed to it...

So while I now have 4 weeks to doo what I want and not get told off for coming home like a drunken ass, living of takeaway and not tidying for a few days, after then I assume that I will need to change.

I have lived with them before in other relationships, but that was years ago and since then I have had the pleasure of all Male households (2 women that keep having emotional issues got kicked out in the first month) or living by myself.

Any tips on what I should now do that I probably wont even notice im doing wrong cause Im a bloke.... living in a slightly messy environment is normal.

Hide the porn obviously, in fact, maybe get rid of it. She will have a good search around!

What's the point of that? Before I moved in with my bird I told her I have a large porn collection. It's not her thing but I definitely didn't want to have to hide or get rid.

I guess it really depends on the girl, don't think it'd go down well with mine!

Why pay for the hard copy version when the electronic version is free and you dont need to hide it?

'I am the resurrection and the life,' says the Lord. 'Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.'

We have come here today
to remember before God our brother a simple and happy existence ;
to give thanks for his life;
to commend him to God our merciful redeemer and judge;
to commit his body to be buried,
and to comfort one another in our grief.

RIP

Whatever you do now, it doesn't matter.

She will change whatever she wants ! Typically you will come home from a day out to find the flat "rearranged". Kitchen cupboards ignored for years will spring into life. Strange plants will appear throughout the house, and inside the fridge, and towels that were happy being washed (bi)weekly will be washed every other day.

In addition, start buying those 12x packs of toilet roll. I don't know what they do with it, I think they make nests in the bathroom walls or something.

With regards to the toilet roll thing, I have that problem at the moment, a friend moved in and the one toilet roll every 2 weeks useage turned into 4 a week and one bad weekend 4 disappeared in 3 days.... WTF???

I heard rumors of the women and toilet roll thing, but my friend that moved in is a bloke.... god knows what he is doing with it, eating it maybe...

Some of the top reasons to have a missus there.

What you do is allow her to do all these house making things on the grounds that she puts out whenever you want

works with my missus- we are both happy now!

if its simply a temporary thing, do nothing. hide anything 'dodgy' you don't want her to find, clear some wardrobe space for her, and give the flat a once over. pay particular attention to bathroom cleanliness.

just act casual about it and maintain it as your space, but the fact you've cleaned and given some consideration will work wonders.

+1 on the toilet roll, also you may end up coming home to find your sofa and bed covered in cushions and side tables will have boxes of tissues also obvious things like is there a bin in the bathroom / toilet?

Top tips!

Don't forget to clear lots of shelf space for dozens of bottles of previously unheard-of products without which no female can apparently face the world outside the front door.
