Deleting a for sale item from ebay

Does any PHer know how it would be possible to remove an auction style item from ebay by any chance? I sold the item via gumtree.com yesterday (and the bids are higher for it on ebay now 
) without incurring both the wrath of ebay and the unsatisfied highest bidder? There is still 1.5 days to run on the auction if that makes a difference.

Make fake account / use mates account to win the auction.
For the fees there was a way do to a dispute and resolve through mutual agreement to get some fees back but I haven't tried that for a year or so so I don't know if that bit still works. So you might end up paying the fees still.
