Envirophone, Fonebank type things. Any Good?

Anyone had any experience of these? Looking to Recycle my current phone.

Does it do what it says on the tin or is there more to it?

Yep, we've used them three times, they pay you exactly what they say. They'll pay out on broken phones, as long as you declare it. Got £15 for a Nokia 5300 with a smashed screen most recently.

"Up to £150" - typed in some of my old phones which they weren't interested in, even my TyTN II they only offered a few quid. I have 10 or so old phones kicking around and I would be lucky to clear £50 I think. You'd make more sticking them on ebay, especially the really old ones!

I got sixty-odd quid for three old phones recently. Shop around though, some of these places will accept some phones and not others.

My OH got £120.01 for her old Nokia N85 - even though there were a few scrapes on the case and the screen.

Was going to send them my Samsung Tocco, they offered me £47 max. Looked on Ebay, put up a Buy it now and sold it within an hour last night for £80...you do the math!

Yep, does it what it says on the tin. Check this out first though, its a confused.com type thing that searchs all the websites for the best price on your phone. I did this with a Samsung U900 soul and I ended up getting £15 more than the websites I found on my own.

It took about 3 weeks to get the money though, I used a company called love2recycle, they say money in 7 days, not quite!

They either refurb them to be resold or used as warranty replacements, or they strip them into parts that get recycled.

I just sent off my Motorola V8 and got £30 - not bad considering it was well battered.

Well after looking at Maty's post above, I checked the website and have now cancelled the enfirofone trade and going with a company called Simply Drop, they are offering £140!

Didn't expect there to be that much difference between the companies.
