Right, I've been given the task of naming the tables at my upcoming wedding.

There'll be about 12 tables and having had `1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12` vetoed i'm apparently in need of something `more imaginative`.

Being a PHer I'm thinking car manufacturers or perhaps racing drivers/bikers. Got to be careful though as while i'd quite happily sit down at Agostini, I wouldn't be so thrilled with Mansell..

Famous PH type places perhaps? (i'll suggest the Oxo tower now to save anyone else feeling the need wink)

(and yeah I KNOW I am TOTALLY in charge of organising this wedding and am really trusted by my future wife to be given such a key task, but listen, this thread's not about that)

Race Circuits? Silverstone - Le Mans - Monaco - Bathurst - Nurburgring - Laguna Seca etc.
Models from a favourite manufacturer? Excel - Esprit - Elise - Evora etc.

Edit: A theme that means something to you and your OH is probably better though...

I'd go for parts/ areas of the body, then you can put people you don't like on the 'arse' table.

(I wouldn't make it car related, that's terminally sad.)

LOL! Good shout.

I could even utilise the table numbers to provide a kind of ranking system, with table 1 being for the favourite ex who you'll always wonder `what if` about 10 years down the line when you're half a bottle of Gin to the worse!

Can't do it though unfortunately. People would keep asking me why one of the tables was named after my wife's mother...

I was going to do circuits, but ended up doing manufacturers. Ferrari, Aston Martin etc.

Go for names that mean something to you.

Friends wedding next weekend for example and they've gone for names taken from the ships and planets in Battlestar Galactica. Means a little more to him than her but they both enjoy it and it's slightly different from the norm.

I went to a wedding recently and the tables were named after Arnie films, the top table was called Terminator biggrin
