It's only been a matter of days since the last two offspring flew the nest, but already there's another new resident on my balcony:

Sometimes they will actually kick the chicks out of the nest to make way for the next batch of eggs. Sometimes they will just lay new eggs while the chicks are still in there, in which case it's a bit luck of the draw as to whether the chicks just end up helping to keep them warm or whether they break them going mad at the parents begging for food.

I must say thats a pretty pathetic attempt at a nest. I could probably whip up something more convincing even after a night out on the town hehe

To be honest, it's a pretty pathetic attempt at a balcony.

i used to throw the eggs off the balcony. if you want to get rid of them get a plastic owl and put that on your balcony. it was the only thing that worked for me.

I thought it was an offense to interfere with bird's eggs? Or is it only certain types?
