Yes im in the TA, Although nothing on the RMR website suggests the inital selection is anything more than a weekend or two.Toni - are you in the TA ?

Was with 4 Para training but never passed out, nearly went RMR and wish I had....
RMR, a normal PRMC same as regular RM is a 2 full day thing. 3 miler, Gym test 1, Bottom field (hell!), Gym test 2. All in all it was tough but doable if you train well for it. The actual training once you start is quite commitment, but well worth it imo.
Remember its not just the time you're with them, it's the training you have to do in your own time.
Search for the MFAT forum, its pretty helpfull.

You are normally expected to dedicated 2 solid weeks for 'annual camp' where you often go on exercise/do training.
Also expected to do a fair few weekends away. This is really all 'optional' but kind of expected, i.e. the other chaps will not like you turning up 'when you feel like it'
Quite often larger employers have a HR policy where they give TA members 2 weeks extra leave for the purpose of using it for the 2 week camp
