Since there is another thread bemoaning the quality of maths, here's a simple little maths challenge (or it should be for the P&P).
Using only the basic math operators (+ / - *) make 24 from 8,8,3,3.
You have to use all 4 numbers.
ETA: You can only use each number once.

Another neat little puzzle.
There's a hall with 1000 switches on a wall. There's a 1000 people.
The first person switches all the switches on.
The second person goes to every second switch and switches it off.
The third person goes to every third switch, if it's on, he turns it off. If it's off, he turns it on.
The fourth person does this to every fourth switch
So on, so on.
After the 1000th person is finished. What switches are on.
There's a hall with 1000 switches on a wall. There's a 1000 people.
