What they hell are they called??

I've been trying to think of what this is called - and yes, I have tried googling it, but can't seem to find a list of products.

You know those lamps (like desk lamp/bed side light) where you touch the base and it turns the light on. Touch it again and it turns it off etc??

What the fk are they called?!

slightly off topic, can you still get those lights that turn on and off when you clap twice at them?

I seem to remember a relative having one when I was a wee-willy-winky of a kid, and even now if I cant find the power button to an appliance or gadget will clap twice at it, no body ever gets the joke.
