Dartford power cut

Now that the dust has settled, does anyone on here really know what happened to the cables on Dartford marshes that lost me my electricity supply for a week. Sorry its a bit area specific but there have been rumours and very little real official info.

Welllllll it went off on Monday just as England beat Australia and came back on Thursday at 6am.
I claimed and they have sent me £50.......which is nice

50 notes, plus all that youve saved on the electric that you have not used, would buy a nice portable generator, ready for the next cut!!!!

The rumour I heard, and it is only a rumour, is that some people who may not be house dwellers were trying to steal some cabling and got things a bit wrong. The reason it took so long to restore power was because it became a crime scene when one of them went bang at the same time the power went out.

Tis only a rumour though.

Thats what I heard Roo, except that I heard that there were three of them and they all "bought the caravan" !

But nothing at all in the local press. Hence the first post.
