Can any of you clever bunnies out there recommend a good basic book on contract law and one on purchasing/supplier and contract management.

It's a long story but I would be grateful!

Thanks.

(and I do promise to stop asking questions soon...)

Do M & E Handbooks still exist? TYhat was the text book I used back in the 1970s (so probably not that relevant these days).

I'll have a look on Amazon - there is a job application that in the "desirable" field rather than "essential" requires very basic knowledge of contract law. It's either going to be stupidly easy stuff (like penalties for breaking a contract) or it'll be more in depth because they can ask for it. I've got experience in the area but want to make sure I know the right stuff (i.e. I do a similar job now but don't need to know specifics and want to make sure I'm going down the right path)

(Still want to go down the accountancy route but this purchasing route would be a good stop gap and it is only a temp contract)

Thanks again Eric, where would I be without you?
