If you found £100,000 cash?
Discussion
The number of honest people with £100,000 cash about is tiny. So I'd hand it in at the police station, knowing only too well that said drugs dealer wouldn't be going to collect it (and leaving my details with the police station.) Then in a months time I'd have it completely legally.
Win/win.
Win/win.
My first thought was, 'not a chance I'd hand that in', but then I thought, 'what could you do with it?'. If you put it in the bank you'd no doubt be investigated, meaning you would have to admit you found it, and therefore hand it back. There's also the possibility it has been lost by less than savoury members of the community, and if they find you, you are more than a bit screwed. And because you couldn't put it in the bank, it's all in your house. In cash.
i'd keep it.
feed it monthly into various bank accounts like wages, max out my ISA, and max out my premium bond allowance too.
i'd also get a new car, and van. and put down a healthy deposit on a house...
and finally, clear any debts i may have. ( they most definitely will not ask questions lol )
not that ive ever thought about it mind

Depends on the circumstances and whether I thought anyone would know I had found it.
Pull up on a motorway hard shoulder with a flat tyre, look over in the bushes and see a carrier bag full of £20s wrapped in rubber bands. Quickly throw bag in boot, take the long way home and hide the money for a few months to be sure that no-one would come looking for it before I spent any.
Thats my fantasy anyway.
If the money was obviously from a bank or the likes of Securicor then that would change things.

Haha, ding ding. Depends if it was with other stuff. feed it monthly into various bank accounts like wages, max out my ISA, and max out my premium bond allowance too.

For example, if it was in a handbag with a wallet or purse of someone then probably hand it in.
If it was just a carrier bag stuffed with notes I'd keep it - probably from / to do with someone bad anyway. I'd tell NO-ONE, probably not even the O/H.
I'd save 1/3, spend 1/3 on 'stuff' (car, A/V stuff etc) and spend the other 1/3 paying a chunk off the house / deposit.
